At CU Boulder, usable materials like wood, metals, textiles, electronics, and 3D printing scraps go unused or end up in landfills. The Circular Materials Marketplace is a campus-wide platform where students and departments can post surplus materials for reuse. By combining digital accessibility, sustainability metrics, and integration with existing programs like ITLP’s 3D printing recycling, we create a closed-loop system that saves money, reduces waste, and fosters innovation.
